This Learning Path introduces the learner to the second version of the Robot Operating System, ROS2. Especially ROS1 users will be presented the new features of ROS2. ROS is a rich open-source framework for robot control. The focus is here on autonumous navigation of wheeled mobile robots. The learning path presents motion models and explains the different planner levels and trajectory-planning algorithms for mobile robotics.
Learning outcomes
- The students differentiate between ROS1 and ROS2.
- The students summarize the different kinematic models in robotics.
- The students set up a basic ROS2 environment.
