In this nugget, we will follow the steps to set up Universal Robots ROS 2 Driver on Ubuntu Linux. In doing so, we will learn to install new ROS 2 packages using the command line on Ubuntu 22.04, launch ROS2 launch-files, use RViz for visualizing the UR5e robot model, and manually change the joint values of the robot model. To gain the most value from this learning nugget, the learner is expected to actively engage by completing the example steps on their computer.
