Research projects are meant to bring their research results to the market. Thinking on the potential business model from the very beginning helps to reflect and transit (hopefully) to the market.

In this nugget, it is presented how a research project started thinking on potential business model. The research was to develop a low temperature Neodymiun electrodeposition process using ionic liquids as electrolytes as a greener and less energy intensive alternative to exiting processes. The first step was to
think in the value proposition. But instead of using the value proposition canvas form Osterwalder, it is used another Value Proposition Canvas proposed by Peter Thomson.

Learning outcomes

  1. Learner who has completed the nugget is able to describe a Business Model of a company
  2. A learner who has completed the nugget is able to relate the questions with the BM to innovate in the BM
  3. A learner who has completed the nugget is able to explain Value Proposition Canvas proposed by Peter Thomson
