This nugget introduces reverse logistics and how it can help realising a circular economy.
Circular Economy is based on one key principle. It says that the value of products, materials and resources is maintained in the economy as long as possible. It is an economic system that aims to design out waste and pollution, keep products and materials in use, and regenerate natural systems. End-of-Life product collection needs to be managed by the reverse logistics process. It usually starts with reclaiming the returns from consumers and transporting them to a collection centre where inspection and sorting will be done for the purpose of reuse, repair, recycling, remanufacturing, or disposal.
