One of the core components in a data space is the Identity Provider, which offers a service to create, maintain, manage, monitor and validate identity information of and for participants in a data space. One of the elements of this component is the Dynamic Attribute Provisioning Service (DAPS), which manages the data space participants’ dynamic attributes by issuing access tokens for the components (i.e., connectors). It enhances security by supervising all communications in a data space. This nugget will go through the steps of how to install and use a Dynamic Attribute Provisioning Service.
Learning outcomes
- After completing this nugget, learners are able to instantiate a Dynamic Attribute Provisioning Service (DAPS), as well as register an IDS connector on it to create a self-hosted data space.
