This module introduces students to applications of CPS/IoT and illustrates how these concepts are used to create new systems which are adaptable and resilient to changes in the environment.
By attending this module, learners will get introduced to the topics of CPS/IoT:
i) System Architecture of the CPS and Internet of Things Vision,
ii) Middleware/ platforms and interoperability,
iii) modern networked and embedded control systems, models of computation and dependability;
iv) Software Engineering.
Learning outcomes
- Analyze the system architecture of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and evaluate their potential to create new adaptable and resilient systems in various domains.
- Evaluate the challenges and opportunities of CPS and IoT interoperability, and propose solutions to ensure seamless communication and integration among heterogeneous systems.
