The aim is to introduce learners into the basics of metrology and 3D light scanners, and provide them with hands-on experience to perform accurate measurements.
Course would enable learners to compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) with structured light metrology, and understand when each method is most suitable for different applications. The objective is to help learners identify and apply structured light metrology for different use cases within their own field of interest, and understand how this technology can improve the quality and efficiency of their work.
Learning outcomes
- The learner is capable to successfully operate metrology measurements tasks using 3D light scanners.
- The learner is capable to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of CMM metrology in contrast to structured light metrology.
- The learner is capable to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of CMM metrology in contrast to structured light metrology.
