The learning path “Introduction on self-training methods” presents the basic topics about self-training methods in industrial context, focusing on the aid of new technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR). Two examples of devices are presented. Advanced human computer interaction using finger tracking gloves is introduced, including the setup, operation and integration of Magos solution. Next, instructions on how to wear, connect and use safely the mixed reality glasses Hololens and an example of its application in a typical manufacturing production line are shown. Then, an introduction on how to develop AR applications is illustrated using Vuforia, a development platform that enables developers to create augmented reality experiences for mobile devices, smart glasses, and other platforms. Finally, the learners will be able to evaluate the knowledge acquired through a Final Assessment.
Learning outcomes
- After the completion of the learning path, users will be able to state the baselines of self-training methods.
- After the completion of the learning path, users will be able to recognize wearable devices that can be used in self-training processes.
- After the completion of the learning path, users will be able to interpret the basic concepts of a software development environment.
