The Fourth Industrial Revolution, 4IR, or Industry 4.0, conceptualizes rapid change to technology, industries, and societal patterns and processes in the 21st century due to increasing interconnectivity and smart automation. ;Industry 4.0 is a vision that evolved from an initiative to make the German manufacturing industry more competitive ‘Industrie 4.0’) to a globally adopted term, that dates back only a few years back.
