This task will continue the methodology presented in the previous nugget to establish an understanding what concerns need to be taken into account when starting to plan a solar powered system to compensate your smart factories energy consumption. The approach focusses on solar energy but can be transferred to other renewable energy resources with minor adaptations.
This learning unit contains the motivation for the design decisions and first steps of the methodology. Two other Task units are following, which will elaborate the methodology.
Learning outcomes
- Organize a feasibility study on the installation of solar powered energy supply systems
- Analyse possible solar energy harvesting capabilities based on an individual geolocation
- Calculate the dependencies between demand and supply in the electrical energy balance of an individual use case
