Learning outcomes
- the learner is provided with a case study for topology optimization and she/he is asked to identify the design space, constraints, and the related optimization function among different options. Find the hotspot and guess the answer on images from selected case studies.
- the learner is provided with an exercise that consists in a component to be optimized by means of topology optimization. A few options for free software to be used will be provided. The learner will self-assess the outcome of the exercise with a questionnaire.
- guess the answer images will be used to assess the capability to compare the ecological and technological performance of a topology optimized component with respect to a traditionally optimized component.
