This nugget builds on nuggets created in
ConFacts in 2022, which provided the basics of important industrial protocols
such as OPC UA and MQTT. Various implementations will be examined and compared
and a template for implementing the data interfaces will be provided to match
various environments. Various types of data will be described and corresponding communication protocols explained. Asset Administration Shell as a modeling mechanism for entities in Industry 4.0 will be introduced.
