Large scale solar and wind power plants

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to two of the main renewable energy resources: a) wind power and b) solar power.

The present course will focus on large-scale implementations of these energy resources, involving the so-called wind farms and power plant. Learners will investigate on a high-level, the basic operation of wind and solar farms, along with key features for each of them such as: power generation costs, the science behind, common types and categorization of equipment and the best candidates, country-wise, for such power units.

This courses not only serves as a great first encounter for low and middle level professionals with two major renewable resources (wind and air), but also highlights the value of renewable resources and encourages potential stakeholders to take a step ahead for investment consideration.
