Business innovation refers to the creation and application of new ideas, processes, products, or services with the goal of improving business efficiency, effectiveness, or competitiveness. A good tool to innovate is the use of archetypes of innovation.
Archetypes are metaphors that act as mental filters, refocusing our vision and opening us up to exploring other paradigms to address challenges or problems. Metaphors have an incredible power to stimulate the imagination.
A collection of solution filters (archetypes) brings a great deal of efficiency to a creative process of business innovation, because it allows a wide range of alternatives to be explored in an organised way, thus revealing unsuspected opportunities for innovation. In other words, it reduces the “blind zones” that escape our creative radar.
