In the 2nd part of the introduction, it is explained how you can see AI in the whole domain of manufacturing. Cyber physical systems is a very important word in AI; a connection between the
digital and the physical world. AI in manufacturing can be divided in 6 levels of maturity. The highest maturity level is related to autonomy, for example an adaptive robot in a factory or a self-driving car. AI in manufacturing is not only about machines but also about interaction, like value chains (e.g. the
life cycle of a product or the manufacturing chain). Important is also the human device interaction and the connected factory. AI in manufacturing can be divided into three layers. A virtual layer, a physical layer and a connecting layer (digital twin).

The base of AI is high quality data, which can be a priori data (data that is already available before the system is there) and a posteriori data (data from a system that is already available). The nugget ends with a project (called Megafit) example, including a demonstrator video.
