Predictive Maintenance and Artificial Intelligence are undeniably interdependent. In a simplistic way Predictive Maintenance can be considered as one of Artificial Intelligence’s applications, exploiting AI’s advanced decision making based on historical or live data.
In general, Predictive Maintenance, hereinafter PdM, represents the effort of scientist to digitalize technical maintenance in order to cope with current manufacturing trends and demands as a part of the Industry 4.0 wave.
