SUMMARY
We aim to help teachers of primary school pupils to get started with 3D printing in the classroom.
If possible, we strongly recommend at least one half-day of in-person training to really get to grips with printing, but this nugget will help you understand the basics before you unbox a new printer for your classroom.
After this learning nugget, you will be able to identify the components of a 3D printer, and know how to maintain a printer and keep it in good working order. We’ll also cover some basic health and safety principles when using a 3D printer in the classroom. And we’ll walk through how to link 3D printing to the school curriculum.
