SUMMARY

We aim to help teachers of primary school pupils to get started with 3D printing in the classroom.

If possible, we strongly recommend at least one half-day of in-person training to really get to grips with printing, but this nugget will identify some top tips for successful 3D design and print.

After this learning nugget, you will understand when to use support structures in 3D design, and know when and how to avoid them; have learned how to check your first print layer; know how to measure prints and size them in the real world; know when and how to use glue in 3D printing; and know how to store filament correctly.
