Description
In this course, the student learns how to develop a virtual laboratory from the ground up. In a scene populated with the lab objects and instruments, they create a user character which interacts in various ways with them through the mouse. They also learn how to implement a VR UI for the virtual lab in place of the keyboard-mouse UI as well as a Standard Development Kit (SDK) as a tool for the development of the virtual lab.
Learning outcomes
- Within this lesson, participants will meet the V-Lab SDK as a part of V-Lab, the XR2Learn project's Beacon Application 2 By the end of this lesson, participants will have understood how the V-Lab SDK can be used to build innovative training applications in immersive, interactive virtual environments, rapidly, efficiently and effectively, in a little to no-code fashion
- By the end of this lesson, participants will have understood the fundamental ideas underlying the V-Lab SDK, its structure and building blocks
- Within this lesson, participants will meet key components provided by the V-Lab SDK for application development By the end of this lesson, participants will have understood the suggested workflow for developing applications with the V-Lab SDK
