A company’s objective should be to maximise the value it delivers to its customers, continuously, now and in the future. In this sense, the focus is not on shareholders but on customers. If a company delights its customers, it will ultimately create value for its shareholders.
Delighting customers means delivering value to them at all stages of the company’s relationship with them. There are some elements/practices that create customer delight and therefore should be considered to maximise the value delivered. Agile project planning is a tool to be customer value oriented. It is a flexible and iterative way of planning projects that takes into account what the customer needs.
