SUMMARY
This learning path is intended for professionals and students in the manufacturing sector who seek to deepen their understanding of resilience and reconfigurability within contemporary supply chains. Operating in complex and volatile environments requires systematic approaches to anticipate risks, assess vulnerabilities, and design adaptive responses.
Participants will develop the capacity to engage with advanced concepts, such as the use of digital twins for analytical modelling and scenario evaluation, the identification of conditions that necessitate supply chain reconfiguration, and the formulation of strategies that respond to both external disruptions and internal operational imperatives.
On completion, learners will be equipped to apply evidence-based methods and conceptual frameworks that strengthen organizational responsiveness. The program emphasizes the integration of resilience and adaptability as central elements in building sustainable, efficient, and strategically aligned manufacturing supply chains.
About The Author
This course was developed within the EU-funded R3GROUP project, as part of Task 5.4: Social Impact Management, to raise the awareness about resilience strategies and technologies for reconfiguration in different manufacturing sectors. The authors bring combined expertise in engineering, innovation, and industrial transformation, ensuring a balanced approach between theoretical foundations and practical application.
The R3GROUP project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement No. 101091869. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union.
