Welcome to Industry 5.0: Transition to Sustainable, Human-Centric and Resilient Manufacturing! This course contains six lessons and one final assessment. It explores the evolution from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, highlighting the shift towards sustainable, human-centric, and resilient manufacturing practices.

Learners in this course will gain a comprehensive understanding of Industry 5.0 by examining its foundational principles and how they diverge from those of Industry 4.0. Unlike its predecessor, which primarily emphasized automation and interconnected technologies, Industry 5.0 introduces a more holistic approach that places human well-being, environmental responsibility, and systemic resilience at the core of manufacturing innovation.

A key focus of the course is the integration of advanced digital technologies, such as real-time data analytics and automated systems, to promote greater energy efficiency and operational sustainability within industrial environments. Learners will explore how these tools can be leveraged to uncover inefficiencies, support continuous improvement, and generate long-term value across manufacturing processes.

Moreover, the course addresses the practical application of collaborative systems where humans and robots work side by side. By analyzing intelligent collaborative cells designed for safe and effective human-robot interaction, learners will develop an understanding of how such systems can enhance both productivity and resilience, enabling more adaptive and future-ready manufacturing operations.
