In previous lessons, we talked about the use of artificial intelligence for technical and commercial purposes. From now on, we’ll be looking at a specific use case from a manufacturing company interested in cost estimation.
Let’s get to the heart of the matter! And study the Groupe Pernoud use case. We’ll introduce the Pernoud Group by giving a few key numbers. Then we’ll look at the company’s core business, i.e. the design and analysis of industrial molds, by analyzing the key stages of production, from order to delivery.

About The Author
Daniel Brissaud has been a professor of manufacturing and design engineering for many years at Grenoble INP-UGA, France. His main focus is on improving industrial processes with technology 4.0 in an advanced social and environmental context. He was responsible of the Master degree in Manufacturing of the Future and head of the doctoral school on Industrial Organization and Production Systems. He is now involved in technology transfer to industry, focusing on SMEs.
